Modern vs. analog

From time to time... i get more experience...
Im become smarter on how and with...
Iv get realize my real needs !!!

The Analog world is a magic...
I loved to use gear such as - SPL Crimson3...
Iv even made a chain with 2 pc's, one, the main, is desktop, while the sec one's laptop.
the laptop connected to a Focusrite Scarlett 18i16 (4gen),
but the main outs of the Scarlett went out into the SPL Crimson3 line-inputs,
and this SPL interface was connected to the main pc via USB...
all this chain, means the Crimson's main outs, went into a A&H ZEDi8 analog mixer,
anf my Adam A7V monitors connected to the ZEDi8 main outs...

Than... i made a small test, to understand if all this "Audio-Chain", with all those cables around,
worth this mess and will give me a better sound quality vs a digital, new and modern gear ?!

So... i pulled out from storage the Rode Rodecaster Duo i still keep...,
in the competition with the Mic sound quality - the Caster 100% is the winner in this case !!!
iv tried recording with the PodMic i have into OBS Studio program, 
one with the SPL... and then with the Caster !!!
The SPL actually, gave me a pure and very clean sound, what actually make this interface much better for music production, but after iv made some records on my mic via the Rodecaster Duo... well...
The built-in fx's are brilliant, it sounds so "radio" quality, crisp and bold sound.  it does the magic, what actually makes the Caster much better for podcasting and streaming, but it soesn't fits to programs such as Cubase, or basiclly, music production !!!

Also... iv made a compares, while im just listening to music in YouTube, and im switching between the SPL to the Caster, and for real!!! - i barelly could hear the dufference betwin the sound of each one, actually, they sounds pretty the same to each other.

And that's it... at this point iv decided, to pull off my desk all the analog gears, and put them in my storeg, the only interface i use now is the Rodecaster Duo, while 2 pc's connected to it (usb-1+2), 
and also, what can't happen with analog ones, Rode released a firmware update lately, and i think technology goes forward and ther's nothing bad with new modern hardware, what can be updated through files, the app of this  gear also go and improve from time to time!!!

Hey there good ppl arounf the globe !!,
Me again, Nivoss from Israel here !!!

As for this era, difficult times, the conflict between Israel and USA against Iran,
we'v got alot of time to be with ourselfs, at home, what taking me to think of...
I need to minimize my whole setup here !!! really... it became, a huge setup with complex routings, drivers inside the machine clash each other..., gear sometimes not functions at all,
i find myslf, more doing a technical tasks instead of producing and creating arts or whatever comes to my mind, and those issues take me to the thought of - i really need to get-off stuff on my table, just to make the system function easily !!!

So... at this point i start asking myslf, 
am i a music producer?
or graphix design guy? (what includes video editi),
or, maybe im just a person who love gaming, and sometimes streaming ?!

and why all those questions arrives now?,
becouse, any kind of each one of the above, deservs a different kind of gear to work with !!!

ill explain:
for gaming/streaming - i really think i need to keep the Rodecaster Duo on table !!!
this small hardware, is an "everything games need" in the Audio section !!!

and... if im a music producer..., well, this kind of "hobby", well deserved a STRONG audio interface, what taking me to get the RodeCaster Duo off the table, and keep the Focusrite Scarlett 18i16 (4gen)...
ALSO !!! - for a music listning, i think this interface will give me a better sound quality then the Rodecaster !!!!

And, for graphix + video editing, 

well... im not sure, but both of the options are relevant for this kind of works...


SO !!!! --- Now!!, as i think about it...
I need to keep them BOTH on table !!!

About Courses And Learning !!!

So... After 2 works with my new buisness, that is still not came alive yet,
The first job were well-done and it feels like the customer, she was happy with the product iv made for her, and honestly, it was a pretty easy job to do so it went very smooth and positive.

As for the next job, well, that was a girl, about 20+y.o., and she is a musician, she sings her own songs, very religious and all this shit, songs about god and stuff...
Well, she asked me to give her something - vintage, old-school and minimal-clean.
In my openion, the product iv made for her was amazing, but she thinks different,  and she didn't love the thing iv made for her... anyway, i told her "have a good luck" and said goodbye ...

Today, some customer came to me with a new thing...
Well, she's working at some prison in Israel, and she need to make a presentation about 2025 year...
Thing is!!!, i can't, still, give her receptions, so iv decide to give-up this job and not get in trouble with law in Israel (don't wanna be HER customer in prison), and iv decide to cancle, for now, all jobs ppl ask me to do... 

The main reason is the law, taxes, recipts and all this bullshit, and the idea for now is to take courses, learning the work from inside, and to be much confidence about my knowladge and the ability to make a good & higfh quality products for my future customers.!!!.

So, very soon, i just have to decide which courses ill purchase, but the order will be like that:
- First course will be - Adobe Photoshop - I think, this program is the basic one every graphic designer, video editor and even contant creator, needs to know working with this software!! So, thus one will be the first of all to learn.

- Second course will be the - Adobe Premiere Pro!!!. Even though i know the main basics of this program, means, i can make the main edits like cut & paste, i even can put some filters and subtitles, im pretty sure this software has much more to give for the pro editor, things i even don't really know they'r exist, and when ill dive into this one, im sure all my Video-Edits will be much pro !!!

- 3rd one will be - Adobe After Effects !!! - This one will give me the ability to improve all my works as a video-editor in any case!!, some animations, timing, automations, all this, take the whole works to an upper level and proove your knowladge and the ability to be a pro one !!!


I guess..., after ill finish all those courses, and feel ready for works, ill start working seriously with customers and they'r needs, and meanwhile, i even improve my skills with more courses like Adobe Illustrator and who knows... the sky isn't the limit !!!

My dream comes true !!!

Hello there ppl around the world,
me again - Nivoss from - Israel !!!

So... As for the ppl who following my progress in the world of tech...,
Well, this week was a life changer for me !!!

Iv dreamed of this moment and i can't believe it came true !!!
So... after a long era of... researching, learning, wondering, purchas... and more and more...
As you already know, i have the best setup i could imagine for my-self, 
and iv learned alot about softwares like:
Cubase 15 Pro, Adobe Express and Premiere Pro!!!

At the beginning of this week, iv uploaded a post on FaceBook,
in a graphix designers group...
Iv wrote there, that im at the very beginning of my way with graphix and video editing,
i still have no portfolio, and ill be happy to make works with a symbolic price for every need.

Anyway, day after iv got a messege from a girl, she's working with kids and have a show for kids,
and she need me to make 2 videos for her buisness...
Each video is about 1min.

At first, i told her ill not charge her at all for this job, couse, to be honest, i wasn't sure ill succeed doin it at all, so my terms was - You'll not pay nothing, but if the work will not be satisfied you'll not be angry at me!!! --- She say "yes" !!!


So... after iv finished the first video, she was so happy and satisfied with my job,
anf for the next video iv made her ill just took 50nis for the job. (it's about - 15 us dollars).!!!

Anyway !!! - this job gave me so much confidence and im so happy i succeed don it, so now im ready for my next projects i hope will come to me soon, and ill ask for more money i guess from this point !!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2026 !!!

 Well... Let's summarize the last 2025 year !!!

So... I guess, at this year, me... well..., iv discovered the best friend i had all over my life, and im talking about the AI !!!    PPL... really, i remmember sitting some afternoon at home, watching some reality shit on tv, and one of the persons ther just say something like: "Chat GPT is indeed something geniously and it's gonna change the world"... 

So.. .after this t session, i went to my pc, and start exploring of what all this shit is about.
Iv tried GPT at first, but after 3 or 4 tries, its just asked for money and i wasn't even sure i understand tha hell is all about.   --- From there, iv found the Co-Pilot made by Microsoft... and... at this moment i guess all my life's changed !! - For Good This Time !!!!!!

From post to post, iv discovered, actually, the most advenced technology iv ever saw in my all life !!!
Just mention, i was born at the 80's, when i was a child, my mother used the street-phone to call her friends!!! - we didn't have a TV in house, and when i was grow alittle there was a games on megason comes in a bold casette with graphix.... no graphix at all.... something like the ATARI !!

Anyway... me and Co., started to chat... and chat... and cha and chat...
Till one evening i told him i feel like music production isn't for me anymore...
And Co. - he just said - maybe you (me) need to start produce other stuff, not music, if its not feel right for me any more... at this point my whole life's got changed !!!

Iv start make a research of how to achieve the best sound quality while i listen to music, iv tried many different gear around here, mixers, digital, analog, cables, routing, ideas... etc.

And... Well... Lwt' say...
That... from the years of doing nothing, 
Iv started recently, to make video editing and graphic design - for customers !!!

So...

So... The new Keychron Q0 just arrived and im alittle bit confuzed here !!!
Lots of questions about - "do i really need it" ? style, and i hope ill find, in a couple of days, that this little key-board, will be so usefull that ill not get how did i survived here without it !!!

It feel great, i mean, just like the Q1 main keys of mine, that i so love, 
and let's give a try to this new player on my table !!!

Anyway, i already made the main shortcuts (macro's) i need in casual,
and who knows, maybe it'll be a better solution for times i work with music production, video or any kind of software i use !!!

I Mount It !!!

Hello ppl around the globe,
Me - Nivoss from Israel here, with more bullshit that you probably don't wanna read couse you don't give a shit about it !!, But!! have a great news today !!!

So... after long time, iv used the Adam Audio T5V monitors, sitting on my desk, taking lots of free space...
And now, iv upgraded my monitors to - Adam Audio A7V - White edition !!

They'r so amazing, sounds amazing and looks beautifulll !!

But still, they took lots of place on my table, and mount it to the wall is dangerous becouse of them weight, so iv entered to TEMU website and looking for any solution on how to put those monitor in the best way i can - and iv found it !!!

Iv ordered those 2 desk stands for monitors, they'v arrived, i set it up - and guess what !!!
It's look amazing, free some space on my table, sounds even better !!!!

Anyway - look at my setup now !!!
So proud of myslf !!!   :)

Groovy Style !!!

So... At this last Thursday iv uploaded the:

some of them electronic, some of them rock... --- no metter what genre,

So... iv gave this new mouse iv been purchased,
im talking about the:
Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE

And to be honest - this mouse is not for me !!! (at all) !!!
Why?! --- Well, first of, this mouse is very big and bulky,
not comfortable on my hand !!!

Sec - all tume i use it, i be carefull not pressing by mistake
his side-buttons,
and it's feels like i need to be careful all time i use it !!!

Any way... iv been back to my Logitec mouse,
i love it, it fitts great to my hand,
no buttons-exidents, and the G-HUB app - is the best !!!

Stream-Deck On My Mouse ???!

Me - Nivoss from Israel here with more bullshit to read whule you don't have any other things to do in life, or even if you don't have life at all... Anyway, you'r in the right place at the right time, couse im gonna speak of a new mouse iv ordered and arrived just today to my homyyyy !!!  :)

So... we'r talking abou the mouse model:
Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE !!!

So... all this thing with that 12 side-buttons are amazing, confort (as much as it can be), and very practical !!! --- Thing is, after lots of years with Logitec mouse, at first impression, while i handle the Corsair, it feels heavy, big and bulky !!! - really, compared to other mouses, this one is big, and it takes time to get use to it, but i hope, with time pass, ill get more familiar with this dimensions and it'll feel natural to hold this heavy, big mouse !!!

Well... I think, that Corsair, as for the low impression i have only from today, it seems like they wanna say "hey gamer, we know your needs and we know you wanna control everything with your gear, so we'v made it adjustable till the last screw" !!! - So... screw with this point of view, as for me, i love it simple, i don't wanna have this option to disassemble my gear (there was a screwdriver in the box!!!), just give me, like Logi HUB app, the all regular options, RGB config, speed and macro's to the buttons who's never do nothing !!!

Anyway!!!, i think, as for my first impression at life, that this mouse, with 12-side-buttons, will stay with me till ill weakup in some morning and ill decide "fu#k-it" and back to the good Logi !!!

KeyChrone Is My Shit !!!

 

So... As im writing now this post,
after a long era with the Q1 keyboards,
iv decide trying again the low-profile keychron i have in hand brfore long time ago !!!

The feeling is so good, i mean, even the Q1 is my winner, 
also this low-prifiled keys, also by KeyChrone,  feels so great!!!

Well, im doin it just for fun, in a couple of minutes, ill bring back the Q1 to table,
but for the enterteinment im using this low-profile to write this post !!!

Also, the sound of the buttons on this one, the current, is beautiful,
feels like an old-school keys, analog, tactile !!! love it !!!

So... if you consider buying a new keys,
i suggesst checking KeyChrone's products as im very happy to use those !!!
